Harry and the children had many fond memories of how
“Mother” was able to stimulate and encourage cooperation as the family built a
new house in Waterloo, and enjoyed all the “special” family events a mother’s
touch provides. Grandma was very close to her grandchildren. Lee and Dawn
enjoyed visiting their grandmother and Dawn recalls the special help her
grandma gave when asthma attacks sometimes sent Dawn to the hospital. Peter and
Katie thoroughly enjoyed the cuddling only a grandmother can provide to small
children in an extended family setting.
Harry
served as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, Waterloo; a member
of the Palmerston Police Board, in the Canadian Executive Service Organization,
the Canadian Material Management Society and the International Material
Management Society. Harry was a part of the Victory Class of Calvary United
Church and a long-standing member of the King Edward Home and School

Harry
Quanz, 1921 – 2005, passed away peacefully, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, on
Friday, October 21, 2005, at the age of 84.
Uncle Harry drew the
generations of our Quanz family together in a very unique way through the work

special link with him as we consider that history.
